The concert includes pieces from the CD Garikoitz Mendizábal Bilbaoko Udal Txistularia Bihurrikeritan (messing around), with a clearly virtuoso repertoire with other new melodies of the composer Xabier Zabala interpreted in different formats; keyboard and txistu , accordion and txistu , programming and txirulas , etc.

A blend, therefore, of the virtuoso tradition and repertoire of our beloved txistu with other, calmer offerings in terms of tempo and musical aesthetic. A compendium of rhythms, melodies and emotions which, on the basis of a tradition which has undoubtedly marked the evolution of the txistu , these two musicians endeavour to bring into the modern era, looking to horizons which had previously seemed impossible to reach.

The txistu as a vehicle for showing these other feelings, nostalgia, sadness, contained joy, hope…..

We offer… the traditional txistu alongside new, forward-looking ideas.
